Golfer Phil Mickelson Kicked Out of San Diego Club

Phil Mickelson, a six-time major champion, has reportedly been kicked out of The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, California, due to allegations of unwanted physical contact with a female employee. The incident occurred earlier this spring, according to Golf Digest.

Incident Details

Mickelson allegedly approached the woman in the clubhouse and made nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her. The woman rejected his advances and reported the incident to her supervisors. Officials at The Farms reviewed and investigated the incident, then confronted Mickelson on the course, telling him to leave the premises.

A spokesperson for Mickelson stated that any misunderstanding has been cleared up and that Mickelson is currently attending to a family health matter. The Farms Golf Club released a statement saying they provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation, and took decisive action.

Mickelson, 55, has been a member of The Farms Golf Club for decades and has played and practiced there. The club is a private club with several top players as members, including Annika Sorenstam and Xander Schauffele.
