The 33rd Annual CARE ‘fore’ Children Golf Tournament, held on August 2nd at the Pennhills Club in Bradford, raised over $45,000 for local children’s programs. The tournament, presented by Premier Sponsors Allegheny Bradford Corporation, the Kids and Cancer Benefit, the Philo & Sarah Blaisdell Foundation, and Zippo Manufacturing Company, benefits CARE for Children’s free outreach services for children with developmental delays and disabilities.
Supporting Local Families
These services include pediatric developmental screenings, therapeutic recreation, and child safety initiatives aimed at preventing injuries and fatalities. The tournament field featured 35 teams made up of 140 golfers, with over 220 businesses, donors, and organizations contributing sponsorships or in-kind donations of prizes and services to support the tournament.
CARE for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children of all abilities in McKean County and the surrounding region. Events like the annual golf tournament help make these vital services possible.
