Giants Rally to Beat Nationals

The San Francisco Giants scored 10 runs in the final two innings to defeat the Washington Nationals 11-10 on Wednesday. Bryce Eldridge hit a game-winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to cap the comeback.

Giants’ Comeback

San Francisco trailed 9-1 before rallying for five runs in the eighth and five more in the ninth to stun the Nationals. The Giants’ Matt Chapman had four hits, including two home runs, and Jung Hoo Lee singled to extend his hitting streak to 18 games.

The Nationals had already clinched their fifth consecutive road series win and were on the verge of finishing a 5-1 trip before collapsing in the ninth. James Wood hit his 18th home run for Washington, and Daylen Lile added four hits.
