Germany’s Great Bavarian Circus to Perform in Kellyville and Shawnee

Families in Oklahoma can look forward to a taste of European circus tradition as Germany’s Great Bavarian Circus rolls into the state this fall. The traveling show, operated by Benjamin and David Spindler—who represent the ninth generation of a storied circus family—will perform at two venues, giving local audiences a chance to enjoy a classic program of aerial feats, acrobatics, juggling, illusion and comedy.

Kellyville dates and venue

The circus opens its Oklahoma run in Kellyville, where it will be staged from October 22 through October 25 at the Creek County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds, located at 17808 West OK‑66, will host the full circus lineup, allowing residents of Kellyville and surrounding communities to experience the high‑energy performances without traveling far from home.

Shawnee dates and venue

After the Kellyville engagement, the troupe will move to Shawnee for a second stint from November 5 to November 8. Performances will take place at the Oklahoma Exposition Center, 1700 West Independence Street, providing another convenient location for families in the central Oklahoma region to enjoy the show.

What to expect from the show

The Great Bavarian Circus is known for its blend of traditional circus arts and modern entertainment. Audiences can anticipate high‑flying aerialists soaring above the ring, skilled acrobats executing daring flips, jugglers displaying remarkable coordination, illusionists presenting mind‑bending tricks, and comedians delivering light‑hearted humor between acts. The program reflects the Spindler family’s commitment to preserving the heritage of one of Europe’s oldest circus lineages while appealing to contemporary tastes.

Ticket information

Tickets are available for purchase online through the circus’s official ticketing portal. Early purchase is encouraged, as seats tend to fill quickly for family‑friendly events of this nature. Both venues offer ample parking and seating options suitable for all ages, making the circus an accessible outing for grandparents, parents, and children alike.

Community impact

Bringing an internationally recognized circus to local fairgrounds supports the cultural vitality of Kellyville and Shawnee. Events like this draw visitors from surrounding towns, providing a modest boost to local businesses such as restaurants, hotels and retail shops. Moreover, the circus’s presence underscores the value of family‑centered entertainment that aligns with community traditions and offers wholesome recreation.

For families seeking a memorable night out that combines excitement, skill and laughter, the Great Bavarian Circus promises an unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars, secure tickets, and enjoy a weekend of world‑class circus artistry right here in Oklahoma.
