Georgia has been chosen as the preseason favorite to win the Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship, according to voters at the league’s annual media days event in Tampa. The Bulldogs received 88 of 164 votes to reach the title game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta in early December.
Texas was the second choice, with 57 votes, and Mississippi came in third with six votes. Other teams that received votes include Texas A&M, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, and Kentucky.

The predicted order of finish is as follows: Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Arkansas.
The media also voted on preseason All-SEC teams, with Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss edging Texas’ Arch Manning for first-team quarterback.
