Georgetown has hired a new assistant city manager, Jack Daly, who has previously held several positions within the city, including community services director, assistant public works director, and chief business officer for the electric utility department.
Daly has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in government and history from the University of Texas at Austin.
As assistant city manager, Daly will oversee the water, public works, and parks and recreation departments, as well as the public library. City Manager David Morgan expressed his excitement about Daly’s continued service in this new role, citing his proven track record as a leader in the city organization and his excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
