Former President George W. Bush celebrated his 80th birthday on July 6 with a spin class, as revealed by his daughter Jenna Bush Hager on the “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle” show.
A Passion for Cycling
Bush, an avid mountain biker, has combined his passion for cycling with charitable efforts supporting veterans. He hosts the annual Warrior 100K and mountain bike rides at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, where wounded service members are invited to spend time outdoors and build camaraderie.
Despite his active lifestyle, Jenna admitted she’s still having a hard time believing her father has reached such a major birthday milestone. The celebration didn’t stop with the spin class, as family and friends were also expected to join for a family dinner.
Bush’s love for cycling is no surprise, given his years of combining the sport with charitable efforts. The Bush Center describes the Warrior 100K event as “a celebration of the brave folks who raised their hand to defend our nation.”
