Before heading to the polls for this fall’s midterm elections, Indianapolis residents can pick up a free copy of Mirror Indy’s 2026 election zine. The printed guide explains how voting works, outlines voter rights, and offers advice on handling voter intimidation. Each zine also includes an adorable hand‑drawn sticker of a dog proclaiming, “Heck yes I voted!” created by local artist Nathaniel Russell.

Where to Find a Copy

Thanks to a partnership with United Way of Central Indiana, the zine is being distributed throughout Marion County. You can collect a copy at any branch of the Indianapolis Public Library, at ten community centers across Indy, or at three local bookstores. Indy Documenters will also hand out zines outside vote centers during early voting and on Election Day.

Print‑Your‑Own Option

If you prefer to share the guide with friends or family, a downloadable PDF is available on Mirror Indy’s website. After printing, simply fold the pages in half from top to bottom, then fold them again the other way to create a compact, flip‑through booklet.

Bulk Requests for Community Spaces

Organizations, coffee shops, classrooms, or any venue that wants to display the zine can request a stack of 25 copies. To do so, email Sophie Young at [email protected]. Mirror Indy notes that supplies are limited, so early requests are encouraged.
