Fort Wayne families have a new opportunity to introduce their teens to artificial intelligence without any financial barrier. The AI in Fort Wayne Community, in partnership with the Mark Cuban Foundation, is hosting the 2026 Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp, a free three‑Saturday program for students in grades 9 through 12.
When and Where
The bootcamp will take place at Indiana Tech, located at 1600 E. Washington Blvd., on October 31, November 7 and November 14. Each session runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving students a full day of hands‑on learning.
What Students Will Learn
Even students with no prior coding or computer‑science experience can join. Over the three Saturdays, participants will explore how artificial intelligence and large language models operate, learn effective ways to communicate with AI tools, and discover how AI is applied across a range of industries. A strong emphasis will be placed on responsible use of the technology.
Mentors and Projects
Local professionals and mentors from the Fort Wayne tech community will guide students as they develop their own AI‑related projects. The program culminates in a showcase where each participant can present their work to peers, parents and community members.
Support Services
All costs are covered by the partnership. Meals, transportation assistance and the necessary technology are provided at no charge, ensuring that every interested student can attend regardless of economic background.
How to Apply
Applications are open now and will close on September 30. Interested students, parents, educators and community members can find more information and submit applications at mc-fw.com. Early registration is encouraged, as spots are limited.
Why This Matters
Providing free, high‑quality STEM education aligns with Fort Wayne’s commitment to preparing the next generation for a technology‑driven economy. By exposing teens to AI concepts early, the bootcamp helps build a pipeline of skilled workers who can contribute to local businesses and attract new tech ventures to the region.
The AI in Fort Wayne Community is one of more than 35 organizations nationwide selected to host a Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp this year, highlighting the city’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and education.
