Happy Fourth of July! Despite passing the hottest temperatures and highest humidity, it’s still a sizzling celebration of our country’s 250th birthday. Highs will quickly soar to the mid-90s with heat indices running around 100-105.

Heat advisories remain in effect across New England. Click here for active weather alerts. We’re also watching the thunderstorm threat after noontime. While we aren’t seeing an outbreak of severe weather, some storms may be strong into the late afternoon or early evening – predominately south of the Massachusetts Turnpike.
Humidity will drop towards midnight, and noticeably less humid air will be in place by Sunday morning. Temps drop, too. Highs on Sunday will be in the more tolerable mid-80s, with a blend of sun and clouds.
