The fossil footprints, which date back approximately 1.4 million years, were found in the Koobi Fora Formation in East Turkana, Kenya. The tracks, which are remarkably well-preserved, suggest that ‘Nutcracker Man,’ also known as Paranthropus boisei, was taller and heavier than previously thought.
