Fort Worth residents have sent the proposed improvements for Titus Paulsel Park back to the drawing board. At a July 20 public meeting, residents expressed concerns that the conceptual design did not reflect the community’s priorities.
Community Feedback
The proposed perimeter walking trail was met with skepticism, with residents suggesting that the money would be better spent on repairing and improving the park’s existing amenities. Suggestions included removing an unused baseball backstop and deteriorated volleyball posts, replacing or repairing rusted picnic tables and park furnishings, repainting aging structures, and installing shade canopies over the playground.
The city staff has agreed to revise the design proposal based on the feedback and organize a follow-up meeting with city representatives and residents.
