A death investigation is underway in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a person was found unresponsive. The incident occurred at the intersection of Maysville Road and Lake Forest Drive early Friday morning.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:11 a.m. after a passerby reported finding a man lying on the side of the road who appeared to be unconscious. When first responders arrived, the individual was confirmed to be an adult male.
Personnel with the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. The Fort Wayne Police Department indicated that multiple specialized units have been assigned to the investigation, including the Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) and Air Support Unit (ASU).
The intersection of Maysville Road and Lake Forest Drive is expected to remain closed for several hours while investigative work continues in the area. Drivers are being advised to avoid the intersection and use alternate routes until the roadway is reopened.
