Former Razorbacks Bri Ellis and Kailey Wyckoff are 2026 AUSL Champions. Their Utah Talons defeated the Chicago Bandits 6-1 in Sunday’s best-of-three championship series. The Talons also won on Saturday 2-1.

Championship Performance

Ellis made a major impact in Sunday’s title-clinching game. She launched a 254-foot leadoff home run in the top of the fifth inning to extend Utah’s lead to five runs. The blast was her seventh professional home run, tying her with Nicole Schroeder for the second-most by a former Arkansas player in a professional career.

The title marks the Talons’ second straight AUSL championship after also defeating the Bandits in the league’s inaugural 2025 championship series. Utah finished the 2026 season with an impressive 18-9 overall record.

Wyckoff joined the Talons in June when they picked her up from the reserve pool. She began the season with the Florida Breeze of the PSL. Wyckoff appeared in 20 games with 18 starts, posting 12 hits, three doubles, eight RBI, six walks, three runs scored and one stolen base. She was a versatile player for the team. She’s seen action at catcher, first base, center field and designated player during the season.

Ellis was named the AUSL Comeback Player of the Year. She posted a .353 batting average with 18 hits, four doubles, one triple, five home runs, 13 RBI, eight walks and eight runs scored. She also ranked among the AUSL’s top 10 in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and home runs. Defensively, Ellis recorded a .975 fielding percentage with 75 putouts and three assists in 80 chances.
