A 48-year-old woman from Lake Wales, Florida, was arrested after calling 911 to complain about a traffic ticket. Gina Redding was initially stopped by deputies for bypassing a safety perimeter near an active utility work zone.
Arrest and Discovery
Redding was issued a traffic citation, but she began trailing the officer and later called 911 to complain about the ticket. She was pulled over again and arrested for misusing the emergency system. During a mandatory inventory search of her vehicle, deputies found a small amount of marijuana.
At the local jail facility, correctional officers used an automated body scanning system to check for contraband. The scan revealed a density anomaly, and investigators subsequently recovered 28 bags of fentanyl concealed internally within her body cavity.
