Dashcam video captured the moment Florida Highway Patrol troopers stopped a man in Polk County who was accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in Daytona Beach and assaulting her.
Troopers had located the truck on State Road 570 in Lakeland after a “be on the lookout” alert was issued by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, which stated that a woman had been kidnapped.
The driver, 29-year-old Jeremy Mason, was arrested during the traffic stop. Troopers found the woman in the backseat of the truck and found that she appeared to have been beaten by the suspect.
Mason is charged with kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault.
