The Republican Party of Florida is taking over the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, later this month for a pair of congressional debates. The debates, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, will put the spotlight on candidates running in Florida’s 19th and 25th Congressional Districts.

Candidates and Issues

For the District 19 debate, organizers have confirmed that Ola Hawatmeh and Madison Cawthorn will hit the stage. The party has also extended invitations to Chris Collins, Catalina Lauf, Jim Oberweis, and Jim Schwartzel. Meanwhile, the District 25 debate lineup currently features confirmed participants George Moraitis and Scott Singer. Candidates Dan Franzese and Joe Kaufman have been invited to participate as well.

According to the party, the debates will focus on issues shaping the state and nation, including economic opportunity, freedom, public safety, and conservative leadership. A panel of experienced journalists from Florida and Washington, D.C., will moderate the discussions.
