Stevie Robinson Jr., an 11-year-old boy from Florida, has rung the hospital bell after surviving aggressive blood cancer and a life-threatening coma. He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in November and was given a slim chance of survival.
A Christmas Miracle
Robinson Jr. woke up on December 19 and spoke for the first time on Christmas Eve, which his family calls a Christmas miracle. His mother, Nikki Roberts, said, ‘I had all faith that he was going to make it.’ His father, Stevie Robinson Sr., added, ‘I didn’t look at the bad part; it was all faith in God.’
After months of treatment, Robinson Jr. is now waiting for one more dream to come true – a trip to Disney. He has a laundry list of things to accomplish when he gets there, including riding the Star Wars ride and eating churros.
The family is accepting prayers for his continued recovery and is thankful that he is able to walk and talk with ease after what he has been through.
