Lewisville Police Department confirmed Friday, Sept. 25, that five individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the September 11 shooting at an apartment complex on the 200 block of East Corporate Drive. The investigation, which authorities say was a targeted attack, resulted in the death of an adult Hispanic male who suffered multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
Arrests and charges
One suspect, Daniel Jesus Rodriguez Perez, was arrested in Plano and transferred to the Lewisville Jail. The remaining four adults—Gabriel Eduardo Olivo Olivo, Erian Jose Espinoza Martinez, and Carly Yoalbert Guerrero Aguero—were apprehended in Colorado and are being held there pending transfer to the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. A juvenile suspect was also taken into custody in Colorado; because of the suspect’s age, the specific charge has not been disclosed.
All three adult suspects have been charged with murder. The juvenile’s charge remains pending due to the suspect’s status.

The arrests were the result of a multi‑agency effort that included the FBI’s Dallas and Denver field offices, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and local police and sheriff’s departments in Colorado. “I could not be more proud of the work our team has done on this case,” Police Chief Brook Rollins said. “Our detectives have worked day after day, following the evidence across jurisdictions and state lines. These arrests are an important step, but the investigation is not over. There is still work to be done, and our team will continue it with the same persistence and professionalism that got us here. Violent crime has no place in Lewisville, and anyone who commits it should expect our investigators to keep working until justice is served.”
