Firefighters in northern Los Angeles County successfully stopped the progress of the Haskett Fire, which was reported in the community of Littlerock, southeast of Palmdale. The fire, which started at about midday, burned on flat terrain in a remote area near a few buildings and an RV. Water-dropping aircraft responded to the fire, which appeared to spread to at least two cars on a property. The cause of the fire was not immediately available. Forward progress was stopped at about 17 acres.
