Firefighters from Martin County Fire Rescue are working to contain a 75-acre brush fire near the Lakeside Ranch Stormwater Treatment Area of South Florida Water Management, located west of Indiantown.
The fire started just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, off County Road 15B and State Road 710. Fortunately, no structures are currently in danger, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Florida Forest Service is en route to assist with the firefighting efforts. Authorities are advising people to avoid the area and expect smoky conditions.
