The Field of Dreams site in Iowa will soon host collegiate summer baseball teams as part of the Northwoods League, which is entering its 33rd season with 26 teams. This week, fans will get a sneak peek at what will become a permanent tradition at the diamond. The site will host the league’s all-star game and Home Run Challenge on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Unique Facility

Northwoods League officials expressed their excitement about the new addition to their league. “It’s entirely unique to our league and the country. That’s what makes it even more special. This will be the nicest facility in summer league baseball in the country,” Northwoods League officials said. World Series Champion Ben Zobrist will throw out the first pitch during the events.
