The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) is gearing up for the seventh annual Fayette Gives, scheduled for Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This one‑day giving event will feature 107 nonprofit organizations, making it the county’s largest coordinated day of charitable giving.
How the day works
All donations are collected by CFFC and will be distributed to the participating nonprofits after the event. To encourage larger impact, CFFC will increase every donation by 10% and will apply a 10% match to eligible gifts, up to $10,000 per nonprofit. The minimum contribution is $25 per organization.
Ways to give
Donors can give online at fayettegives.org on Nov. 5, or they may start giving now through checks, donor‑advised funds, stock transfers, or IRA charitable distributions. Checks are accepted via a single contribution form that lists the donor’s chosen nonprofits; the form is available on the website and at the CFFC office, 250 W. Main St., Uniontown.
Community impact
Since its launch, Fayette Gives has raised more than $3.1 million for local charities. All funds remain in the county, supporting programs that improve quality of life for Fayette residents. “For one day each year, Fayette Gives brings our community together around a shared goal: supporting the nonprofits that improve quality of life throughout Fayette County,” said CFFC Board Chair Ron Gabriel.
