A fatal shooting occurred in Tampa, Florida, on July 5, after an alleged armed confrontation inside a vehicle. The incident happened near the 1800 block of West Waters Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the shooter claimed self-defense, stating that a man approached his parked vehicle and opened the driver’s side door while holding a firearm. The driver then pulled out his own weapon and fired at the man.
The shooter remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No charges have been filed as detectives review area surveillance footage, process physical evidence, and interview witnesses to verify the sequence of events.
