An animal hospital in Eustis is seeking the good Samaritan who rescued a tortoise and recently dropped it off there. Eustis Veterinary Hospital reached out via social media, sharing a photo of the recovering slowpoke and some backstory.
According to the hospital, the tortoise has been examined, bandaged, and has begun treatment for his injuries. The hospital expects the tortoise to remain with them for approximately the next two months while he recovers.
The hospital is requesting that the kind person who dropped off the tortoise — or anyone who knows who did — get in contact with the vet as soon as possible. They need to know exactly where the tortoise was found so that once he has fully recovered, they can safely return him to the area he came from.
