Marshall, Texas – Sheriff Henry Whitehorn announced Tuesday night that Tre’veon Jackson, a 24‑year‑old inmate from Caddo Parish, Louisiana, was taken into custody in Marshall after a multi‑agency manhunt.

Jackson escaped from a Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy around 10:15 p.m. on Monday while being transported to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport for medical care. The escape prompted an immediate response from local, state and federal law‑enforcement partners.
Within hours, the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force, working alongside the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police, and Texas authorities, launched a coordinated search that spanned the border between the two states.

According to Sheriff Whitehorn, marshals located Jackson in Marshall, Texas, late Tuesday night. He was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force and transferred to the Harrison County Jail, where he now faces federal charges.
