The England World Cup squad is expected to arrive in Prairie Village on Saturday, with enhanced security measures in place around Meadowbrook Park. The team will be staying at The Inn at Meadowbrook, a hotel at the center of the park, throughout the global soccer tournament.
Security Measures
Prairie Village Police have issued a community notice regarding security measures around The Inn at Meadowbrook. No private drones will be allowed to be flown around the park under a Federal Temporary Flight Restriction. The police notice also warned of heavier-than-usual vehicle and pedestrian foot traffic in the area and noted there will be No Parking restrictions along Meadowbrook Parkway and Rosewood Drive around the hotel.
Steel security gates could be seen lining the sidewalk along Meadowbrook Parkway leading up to The Inn, and a stretch of Meadowbrook Parkway just to the east of the hotel’s entrance was completely closed. Prairie Village Police officers and other security personnel could be seen at various checkpoints near the hotel.
Team Arrival
