Elon Musk announced that his AI platform Grok Imagine will produce a full-length, historically accurate film of The Odyssey by the end of the year. This comes after Christopher Nolan’s version of the ancient Greek epic was released in movie theaters worldwide.
Musk’s Vision
Musk stated on his social media platform X that Grok Imagine will create a film that is true to the art of Homer. He also shared a three-minute clip of a scene between Odysseus and the nymph Calypso, created by Grok Imagine.
Musk has been critical of Nolan’s version, particularly with regards to casting decisions. He previously expressed his disapproval of Nolan’s choice to cast Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy, suggesting that it was done to avoid being called a racist.
