A fire on Sprucewood Drive in Ellington on Friday afternoon displaced two people, according to the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire became a multi-alarm fire, prompting the department to request mutual aid from several neighboring fire departments, including the Crystal Lake Fire Department, Somers Fire Department, Ellington Ambulance, Broad Brook Fire Department, the Town of Vernon Fire Department, and Tolland Fire Department.
Fire officials reported that the fire was contained.
