Ellerbe Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana, recently hosted its Red, White and Boom event to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The event, which doesn’t take place every year, featured live music, free food, and a 30-minute fireworks display.
Celebrating Freedom and Faith
Pastor Dennis Sims expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate America’s freedoms and the church’s faith. ‘We’re just glad to be able to come out and celebrate the great freedoms we have in our country that God has endowed to us. And we also celebrate Jesus Christ because the Bible says that whom the son is set free is free, indeed. And we’re here to celebrate being free indeed,’ Sims said.
