A woman in Elkhart, Indiana, is facing a felony charge after a child was dragged by her vehicle during a domestic dispute outside a 7-Eleven convenience store.

According to court documents, officers were called to the scene on County Road 17 for a reported domestic dispute involving a vehicle. Surveillance footage shows a child exiting the vehicle driven by Shayna Jones when the vehicle suddenly pulled away, dragging the child for more than 20 feet.
Jones has been charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. She told investigators she did not realize the child was getting out of the vehicle at the time she drove away.
The incident occurred during an argument outside the convenience store. The case remains under investigation as officials continue to review surveillance footage and witness statements.
