East Side Candidate Forum Scheduled

The candidates for an open east-side state representative seat’s Democratic nomination are scheduled to participate in a public forum on Wednesday, Aug. 5. The forum with the candidates — 97th General Assembly District hopefuls Leland Moore and Wildaliz Bermudez — will take place at the Friends Center For Children Flint Street Theater, 25 Flint St., beginning at 6 p.m.

The East Shore, Fair Haven, and Quinnipiac East community management teams are hosting the event. Anyone who’d like to submit a question for the forum can email it to the moderator.

The candidates are competing for an open seat. Current State Rep. Al Paolillo Jr. is running for the 11th State Senate District seat being vacated by Martin Looney.
