East Carolina head coach Blake Harrell recently spoke about the team’s upcoming game against Alabama, set to take place on September 5. Harrell expressed his team’s focus on preparation and building their football team.

Season Outlook

The Pirates had a successful season last year, finishing with an 8-4 record and defeating Pittsburgh in the Military Bowl. They will feature a new quarterback this season after Katin Houser transferred to Illinois.

Harrell’s comments came after one of his players, cornerback Derrion Horsley, posted a picture targeting the Alabama game on social media. Former Alabama MBB guard Labaron Philon and current Alabama defensive back Red Morgan responded to the post before Horsley deleted it.
