Surrey Hills Golf Course in Oklahoma City has been hit by a wave of vandalism caused by young e-bike riders, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage.

Damage and Disruption

The golf course has reported that the riders have been spotted on the course, breaking things and vandalizing restrooms. According to Alivia Peters, the marketing manager for Surrey Hills Golf Course, the young riders have been riding on the course, driving on greens, and through fairways, causing damage to tee boxes and flags.

Peters also mentioned that there was a traffic incident involving one of the riders, who ran a stop sign and collided with a truck. Additionally, a 78-year-old woman who was golfing on the course was disrupted by the riders, who cussed her out and were very vulgar towards her.

Investigation and Response

The golf course is working with police to identify the riders and has filed reports after finding damage estimated to cost thousands of dollars. Police records show that reports were made on July 30 and August 2, with the most recent report detailing the knocking over of a granite sign on the golf course property.

While no riders have been caught yet, Peters said that the golf course has a good idea of who they are and is working to catch them in the act and get their names.
