A 66-year-old man is dead following a suspected drowning in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on Sunday. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, along with state and local police, is investigating the incident in the area of 241 Marshall Street. No foul play is suspected.
Earlier Sunday, fire officials said first responders were called to Duxbury Bay, off Bradford Road, around 4:30 p.m. and arrived to find bystanders had pulled a struggling swimmer from the water and brought them to shore. An off-duty Duxbury police officer started CPR until the Duxbury Fire Department arrived, and the swimmer was then taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth.
