Thousands of people lost power Tuesday night in Durham. According to a Duke Energy outage map, more than 7,000 customers are currently without power in Durham. The majority of the outages were in the southern part of Durham.
While Durham has a strong line of storms moving through the area, it is unclear what caused the outage. Duke Energy is estimating the outage will be resolved by 2:15 a.m. Wednesday.
