DuPage County will hold its annual Senior Resource Fair on June 15, featuring programs and services that support older adults and their families. The free event, which is being held in honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, will be held from 10AM to 1PM in the first-floor auditorium at the JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, in Wheaton.
Supporting Seniors in DuPage County
The fair will feature representatives from 40 area agencies that provide services and programs available for seniors, family members, and caregivers. Services include health care, social services, nutrition and meal programs, legal and mental health services, as well as community supports such as respite care, adult day programs and in-home care.
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, recognized locally and internationally each year on June 15, aims to help people recognize and report self-neglect or abuse of older adults and adults with disabilities.
