Joseph Duggar, a 31-year-old reality TV star, and his wife Kendra Duggar, are facing charges in Arkansas. An attorney for the couple submitted a plea by order to the Elm Springs District Court on Monday, Aug. 10. If they abide by certain conditions and don’t break the law for one year, all charges will be dropped.
Charges and Allegations
Joseph and Kendra Duggar each face four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second-degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second-degree. Additionally, Joseph Duggar has an open case in Bay County, Florida, where he’s accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
According to investigators, the girl said Duggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap and later asked her to sit beside him on a couch under a blanket, where he manipulated her underwear, grazed her genitals, and rubbed her thighs. The girl told investigators Duggar later apologized and that the conduct stopped afterward, authorities said.
