The Dubois Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to two major Fourth of July celebrations this year. The celebrations kick off on July 3 at the National Museum of Military Vehicles for a one-day special event honoring American freedom and featuring military vehicle rides, tank and machine gun demonstrations, museum exhibits, a Korean War program, and an evening dinner.
July 3 Events
Head to The National Bighorn Sheep Center on July 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a free picnic dinner, desserts, and raffle prizes to celebrate the 33rd birthday celebration of the sheep center. The July 3 events will end with the Friday night rodeo at 7:30 p.m. at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena.
July 4 Events
On July 4, it’s an activity-filled day! The annual festivities will kick off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 4. Start the day off with a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. before heading out for games all day! At 2 p.m., it’s parade time! The fun begins at Town Park and heads east on Ramshorn. Don’t forget about the Ice Cream Social following the parade, held at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church from 3 to 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk.
Travelers are reminded that Highway 26/287 will be closed for the parade from approximately 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Those driving on 26 during that timeframe should expect delays in getting through Dubois. The Wyoming Dept. of Transportation and 511 Notify alerts will keep drivers up to date on the closure.
