Doña Ana County is seeking community members to help plan a town hall about the Project Jupiter data center. The county will form a committee of 11 residents to guide the meeting’s format and questions.

A professional moderator will be hired for the town hall, which will also be transcribed. The town hall was requested by residents following the county’s approval of financial incentives for the project.
During its July 14 meeting, Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners directed staff to develop an application for residents that will be posted on the county’s website. The county indicated it would also form a request for proposal to identify a moderator for the meeting.
County Economic Development Director Denisse Carter reported the county will form a Project Jupiter town hall committee that will include 11 county residents – two from each county district and three from Board Chair Manuel Sanchez’s District 5.
An application will be available on the county website. Applications will be reviewed by the Board at its July 28 meeting. Carter said the application will remain available until July 31, but that the timeframe could be extended.
