A domestic disturbance in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on June 30 led to the arrest of Christopher Linzell McCrary, 41, of Huntsville, Alabama. According to a probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro officers responded to the 3300 block of Kingsbury Street and found a person bleeding from the leg and hand.
The victim, who uses a wheelchair, told police that McCrary had ripped her from the wheelchair during the incident. A juvenile witness reported that she got a knife for protection and put the car keys under her legs while sitting in the wheelchair. The affidavit states that McCrary tried to forcibly remove the keys, causing the victim to be cut on the leg and hand while the knife was present.
McCrary fled before officers arrived but was contacted a short time later and arrested for second-degree domestic battery causing injury with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor assault, and terroristic threatening. His next court date is set for August 21, with a bond of $50,000 cash or surety, a no-contact order, and a GPS monitor ordered.
