An 8-year-old boy from Arizona, Andres Robles, became the 1 billionth honorary guest to walk through the gates of Disneyland on his birthday. He was joined by his parents, Alejandra and Jose, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the Main Street U.S.A train station.
Andres helped unveil a new sign that read “Population 1,000,000,000” and posed for pictures while holding the sign. The family received a VIP tour, which included a visit to Walt Disney’s private apartment.
Andres’ father, Jose, expressed gratitude to the theme park staff for making them feel special and creating a top memory. Becoming an honorary guest is no easy feat, as it requires displaying respect and kindness or answering trivia questions about Disneyland’s history.
