A residential kitchen fire broke out in Sisters, Oregon, after a dishwasher malfunctioned. The Cloverdale Rural Fire Protection District responded to the emergency call and contained the blaze.
Fire Containment Efforts
Firefighters from the Cloverdale Rural Fire Protection District, assisted by the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District, Black Butte Ranch Fire Department, Redmond Fire & Rescue, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, and Central Electric Cooperative, worked together to put out the fire. The dishwasher was removed from the residence to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
Although the fire was limited to the kitchen area, smoke damage was estimated at $125,000 throughout the structure. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
