The Oakridge Neighborhood in Des Moines is advancing a $15 million housing and wellness project with nearly $1.4 million in grants secured. The project, named Cynergy, will bring 33 new apartments to a vacant lot near Oakridge Drive and Keo Way.

The development will also include a 9,500-square-foot wellness center and provide access to education, workforce programs, and community services. The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines awarded the neighborhood $950,000 in grants, adding to $425,000 already secured for the project.
The development is expected to be completed by 2028, providing a significant boost to the local community.
