A popular haunted attraction in Des Moines, the Slaughterhouse Haunted Attraction, has become a movie set for a new horror film titled ‘Feed’. The film is inspired by the attraction and its backstory, which involves the Biggs family and their gruesome experiments at a hog farm.
Bringing the Story to Life
The movie brings this story to life on the same grounds where visitors experience the haunted attraction each fall. According to Ian Von Slaughter, Slaughterhouse show director, ‘This film gives us the opportunity to explore the characters and stories that guests only glimpse while moving through the attraction.’ The Slaughterhouse has always felt like more than a haunted house, it is a world, and now they are preparing to show audiences more of that world than ever before.
