A Florida deputy used a Taser on a man who allegedly stole $5 worth of rolling paper from a 7-Eleven in Fort Myers. The incident was caught on body camera video posted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Incident Details
According to the video, the deputy responded to a call and found the suspect, Steven Rosario Jr., 21, at a gas station across the street from the 7-Eleven. Rosario resisted arrest and pushed the deputy into a trash can. The deputy then deployed his Taser, and Rosario fell to the ground. While on the ground, Rosario threatened the deputy, saying he would kill him.
Rosario was arrested and charged with theft, resisting an officer, and possession of marijuana.
