Denver residents will once again be able to dispute parking tickets online, starting Monday, September 14. The city’s online parking magistrates program was cut last year due to budget constraints, forcing people to go downtown to contest their tickets. The new system will have Department of Transportation and Infrastructure workers reviewing disputes instead of judges.
Changes to Parking Regulations
In addition to the online dispute system, Denver is also introducing changes to its parking regulations. People will be able to purchase a third hour of parking at meters and through the pay-by-phone app after 3 p.m. in downtown Denver, along the Broadway corridor, and in LoHi. The new pay structure was first piloted in Governor’s Park, where around 20% of parkers chose to purchase the extra hour.
