The Denton City Council has approved $18.8 million in projects, including a $3.3 million contract for plumbing maintenance and repairs for city-owned buildings. The contract with Denton-based CBS Mechanical Services will cover repairs and maintenance for libraries, recreation centers, police stations, fire stations, and city halls.
Vehicle Maintenance and Firefighting Equipment
In addition to the plumbing contract, the city council also approved a $14.7 million contract with Rush Truck Centers for vehicle maintenance and repairs for the city’s trucks. The contract includes work for 115 trucks across multiple city departments, including solid waste, wastewater, and streets. Furthermore, the council approved $1.05 million for maintenance and purchases of self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBAs) for the fire department.
