Deland Hospital Staff Restrains Man Accused Of Harassment

A 42-year-old man, Stephen Evans, was arrested at AdventHealth DeLand after being accused of sexually harassing and groping two nurses, according to the DeLand Police Department.

Incident Details

Police released body-camera footage showing the arrest of Evans. Nurses told officers that Evans was sexually harassing staff and forcefully groping them. The nurses confronted Evans and told him to stop, but he became verbally aggressive, leading them to restrain him.

Evans was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail after being medically cleared. He is charged with battery on specified personnel.
