Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime, says he feels like his old self again after undergoing surgery to remove his cancerous bladder. "I consider myself cancer-free," Sanders told The Associated Press. This comes after robotic surgery that reconstructed his bladder using part of his intestine.

Sanders wanted to get a firsthand look at the Intuitive Da Vinci System, which is less invasive than open surgery, reduces hospital stays, and speeds recovery. He was fighting last year at this time and is now thankful for the expedited process. Sanders missed football camps last summer but appears much fitter and more energetic as he oversees offseason training.
Sanders was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his bladder after a routine checkup last spring. The tumor was considered "very high risk," with a 50-50 chance of recurring or progressing after treatments. Sanders underwent robotic removal of the entire cancerous bladder and robotic reconstruction of the organ.
Sanders has recently spent time with his son, Shedeur, who is entering his second year with the Cleveland Browns. He also commented on Travis Hunter, who may focus on playing defensive back in his second season in Jacksonville. Sanders said he just wants Hunter to be happy.
Sanders is optimistic about the upcoming season, saying the entire team is benefiting from lessons learned last year and new faces arriving this spring. He has the best coaching staff he has ever featured, and everybody is unified.
